Shia LaBeouf Still Thinks He’s an Artist, Broadcasts Heartbeat from SXSW

+

Still convinced he is a performance artist, Shia LaBeouf, the most famous person who is not famous anymore, is at it again, this time at SXSW.

In a stunt “commissioned” by Dazed magazine, LaBeouf is transmitting his heartbeat live over the Internet. Entitled #FOLLOWMYHEART, the project is a collaboration with Luke Turner and Nastja Säde Rönkkö, the artists who also worked with the LaBeouf on #IAMSORRY… Because including a hashtag in your project’s name and promoting it with the help of a fashion magazine is a surefire way to be taken seriously as an artist.

The trio released the following statement:

“When people say, ‘listen to your heart,’ they are urging us to tune in to the loving side of our selves; the imaginative, the intuitive, the compassionate, the inner wisdom we all possess. They are telling us to listen to our passion.”

Right now my heart is telling me this is a steaming pile of dogshit.

Listen to LaBeouf’s heartbeat here… Or just go on living your life.
