Following a tumultuous year and much-needed time away from the press, 29-year-old Amanda Bynes reemerged last night looking healthy for the SOAR Los Angeles Gala.
Ironically, she donned a fresh, new look, recalling Lady Gaga’s signature platinum locks, blunt bangs and oversized shades that all came packaged with the singer’s debut LP The Fame. It’s a fitting connection—an actress once nearly destroyed by fame, seemingly channeling an album that critically comments on celebrity culture.
The beige zip-up dress, which appears to be barely held up by Bynes’ sinking pechugas, was designed by Michael Costello, who competed on season eight of Project Runway. All in all, it’s really great that Bynes is back, mostly because her street style is always something to marvel over.
(Let us never forget her iconic Blac Chyna transformation—what a moment that was).
