In the premiere of a series we’re calling The 8th Floor (our office is on the 8th floor of a building. Get it?), Baltimore club priestess Rye Rye popped by BULLETT headquarters to drop some knowledge on her five-years-in-the-making debut album, Go! Pop! Bang! The 21-year-old M.I.A. protégé has been in the game since she was 16, but an unexpected pregnancy and the trial-and-error realities of putting together your first album kept the anticipated record off shelves. But here, with a big smile of relief painted across her face, Rye Rye sheds some light on her dream collaborator, famous dance moves, and favorite designers. Check out the video below.
