Yesterday, day five of NYFW, was a day for the ladies. You know, ladies, like those who were carried across New York’s slushy sidewalk moats by their handsome male companions. Like, public propriety and a perfect blow out. Like Marnie Michaels. And Anna Wintour. DKNY, Derek Lam, and Zac Posen were all right for the pages of Anna’s Vogue, while Jeremy Laing kid sistered it with enough quirk for the “little lady” of Teen Vogue. Some of the looks were more precious than others and our favorites definitely fell into the ‘less’ category. The flip-side to all of yesterday’s prettiness was pumped out of loud speakers at Milk Made at the breakthrough défilé of Hood by Air by Shayne Oliver. It was the show we’d all been waiting for and one that might transform New York Fashion Weak into something worth hopping over puddles for.
