Zappos Doesn’t Let Kanye Finish: This Is How You Do Corporate Twitter

A rapper and a retailer go head to head about nothing in this riveting battle of LOLz.

A couple days ago, famed haute couture seamstress and CULTURE (no, he is culture) Kanye West had a bone to pick with burgeoning eCommerce site Zappos.com. “I got into this giant argument with the head of Zappos that he’s trying to tell me what I need to focus on. Meanwhile, he sells all this s–t product to everybody, his whole thing is based off of selling s–t product,” West said on Bret Easton Ellis’ brand new podcast. “Buy my shit with a Confederate flag on it instead!” Just kidding. I added that last part for flourish.

While there are some #relevant corporate twitters out there–@Helper; any modeling agency @DamienNeva tweets for as he was instrumental to making modeling agency twitters relevant period (currently @NextModels)–as a whole, it’s quiet in these streets. This is why it’s particularly impressive that eCommerce giant Zappos (can you imagine their parent company Amazon tweeting a joke?) came back with this double-platform sick burn that actually linked to the following item–a plunger aka literal “shit product”– with a fairly epic description. It reads:

“Interested in buying sh-t product? You’ve come to the right place! Here at Zappos.com, we happily sell s— products to everybody! This is the throne, everyone has been watching. Whether you’re #1 or #2, your clique will show no mercy, even in Paris.”

It doesn’t matter how smart or dumb Kim is, women everywhere know she laughed. We feel you, girl.
