Sorry we’re not sorry—Justin Bieber’s newest single, “Sorry,” lifted off his forthcoming album Purpose, is everything we shamlessly love about a power-pop song.
For the track, Bieber recruited Skrillex—one-half of the production team behind “Where Are Ü Now”—and Blood Diamonds—the man responsible for Grimes’ “GO”—to create this bouncy dance hall ditty.
“Is it too late now to say sorry? Cus I’m missing more than just your body,” the Biebs sings, sending chills down the spines of every middle schooler in the world. These simple, emotive words were co-penned by hitmakers Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels—two of the lyricists responsible for Gwen Stefani’s tearjerker, “Used To Love You” (Makes sense).
Listen to “Sorry,” below, because no one’s not too cool for Bieber, despite this video being an embarrassingly tacky clip best suited for screening in some middle American mall.
