President Obama traveled to Oklahoma City last night prior to his trip a federal prison nearby today. He’s the first president to do so, in fact. The visit followed groundbreaking remarks he made earlier this week on our country’s need for prison reform.
“I think we have a tendency sometimes to almost take for granted or think it’s normal that so many young people end up in our criminal justice system. It’s not normal. It’s not what happens in other countries. What is normal is teenagers doing stupid things,” Obama said after touring the prison.
But while the president’s sorely needed thoughts on the sorry state of the prison industrial complex in the country were welcome, Obama himself was certainly not welcome himself during his visit, at least not to a vocal group of idiots as seen below.

What, they didn’t have any nooses handy?
To the protestors, waving a flag that is literally the rallying cry for racists everywhere, at a black president, was not, in fact, about race, some of them said.
“We’re not gonna stand down from our heritage. You know, this flag’s not racist. And I know a lot of people think it is, but it’s really not,” said Trey Johnson, who drove three hours from Texas to join the protest. “It’s just a southern thing, that’s it.”
“I believe that it is a flag that should not come down. It is about history. It’s not about racism at all because both black men, as well as white men stood side by side. They fought together for the beliefs that they believed in. And this is our heritage,” said Stephanie.
That heritage? They come from a long line of racist pieces of shit, just to be clear.
