X-Girl Teams Up with Legendary Artist Yayoi Kusama

+

2016 was the year of the collaboration—especially after Vetements teamed up with 18 different brands for their Spring ’17 presentation. Now it looks like 2017 will be, too. Fresh from partnerships with both Opening Ceremony and MadeMe, cool girl streetwear brand, X-girl, has joined forces with legendary Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, on a new collection. Featuring prints from Kusama’s iconic Infinity Rooms, the Yayoi Kusama x X-girl collection combines the brand’s classic ’90s aesthetic with Kusama’s psychedelic influence. Dropping February 9, the line consists of everything from coach jackets and bucket hats to Kusama’s trademark polka dots on a range of G-shock watches.

Started by Kim Gordon in 1993, X-girl quickly became a cult outfit for skaters and Downtown girls everywhere. Now that they’ve partnered up with Kusama, they’ll be all over Ludlow in no time.
