While Rihanna’s elaborate wake up prank on Jimmy Kimmel was amusing (albeit a little awkward. Also, shoes on the bed Riri?! That’s going too far), Will Arnett’s simpler, subtler prank really kills it.
Arnett texts his pal Kimmel with some useful instructions on “secret iPhone camera filters,” but the instructions simply lead the talk show host to take an unflattering photo of himself that automatically sends to Arnett.
Take note, Rihanna: April Fool is about fooling – it’s right there in the name! Fooling someone ultimately leads to them feeling stupid, resulting in a much more potent level of embarrassment than that which comes from being woken up by your new club jam. Also, pranks should not be used as promotional tools. Let’s all respect the sanctity of April Fools day.
After realizing he’s been had, Kimmel did the next logical thing: repeated the prank over and over to his family and friends.
