Love comes in many different shapes and forms, this much is obvious. But the flip side of that is true as well: pain is a many splendored thing. “Timebomb”, the latest from Tove Lo illustrates the pushing and pulling of love, both literally and figuratively, with a series of lovers, young and old, black and white, gay and straight, embracing and fighting on the beach.
“We’re not forever. You’re not the one,” she sings in over an up-tempo looping piano riff that crescendos into the climax of the chorus. “You and I we’re a time bomb.”
In conjunction with the video, Lo’s team has set up a website where you can watch it together with a complete stranger online. “It could be the most annoying human being you ever met, or just the best thing that ever happened,” it explains. “With a little luck you could even match with Tove Lo herself!”
Maybe! I bet you guys would hit it off instantly.
