Announcing the arrival of Stella Rose‘s first solo STELLA collection, “Superstisia,” the NYC designer has joined forces with director duo Anthony&Alex to create a cult film-inspired fall campaign. “My main inspirations for the feel of the collection were turn of the century magic shows, vampy glamour, superstition and witchery,” she said. “The shades and the patterns create a cult albeit unsettling feeling and there’s an undeniable spooky element, which we chose to highlight in the video.”
With champagne wildly flowing, “Superstisia” stars four girls, including Burlesque star Raquel Reed, who’re all letting loose in campy pasties and sequins at a wild cocktail party that feels almost like a seance. “Working together with Anthony&Alex, we were able to channel a plethora of cult film inspirations and visual cues into our minute-and-a-half hypnotic romp that can only be described as dizzying and hallucinogenic,” Rose said. “We combined forces to create something that’s not only visually overwhelming, but also something that would get viewers’ hearts racing as they watch.” See the glistening clip, below.
