If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably thought at one point, while standing in front of a work of art in a museum, “Man, I’d like to crawl inside there and live for a while. If only because most of the subjects of the paintings look like pushovers and I could probably take all their shit.”

That wasn’t Italian director Italian Rino Stefano Tagliafierro’s motivation in putting together his film Beauty, in which some 100 classic art works are brought to animated life, but close enough. Among them are iconic works from the likes of Caravaggio, Paul Delaroche, William Adolphe Bouguereaus, and Ivan Shishkin. (h/t)
