The new full length from Matt and Kim, those relentlessly-cheery paragons of summer fun, doesn’t come out for a couple months, but “Let’s Go”, the first single, hit the internets today. Like their best work, “Let’s Go” sounds like the soundtrack to popping the cap off a fire hydrant and cooling off in the midst of the grimy city heat while dribbled basketballs tap out the beat on the sidewalk. Speaking of which, the video here features trick ball handler Pat the Roc showcasing his talents while the duo watches from the bleachers.
“We are so proud of each and every one of these songs that we are going to roll out a few of them over the course of the summer,” Matt Johnson said in a release. “Just for us, put this on your iPod, get in the car, roll your windows down, and turn your stereo up!”
Sounds good, dude, but is it cool if I borrow your car first?
