Opening the video for Ellie Goulding’s “On My Mind” with shots of Old Las Vegas and clattering slot machines is a perfect bit of synchronicity, because this thing is about to hit the views jackpot. In the video, directed by Emil Nava, Goulding, and a shot-gun wielding friend ride horses into the casino of her bad guy ex (we know he’s bad because he uses a cash counting machine) and proceed to rob him like a pair of badass outlaws.

Fans have speculated whether the song is a response to Ed Sheeran’s song “Don’t”, which was rumored to be about his relationship with Goulding.

“I’m sorry to all the people that want it to be about someone — it’s not, it’s like a myth,” she told MTV. “I like guys with tattoos, my boyfriend has tattoos…but I don’t mind. People can read into it however they want. It’s fun to do that, I would do that too.”
