With the sorry state of the porn industry of late, most shoots are lucky if they can afford to throw a few bags of chips on a table and call it craft services. But, as this new film “Drone Boning” illustrates, it’s still possible to go large scale when it comes to filming the old in-out-in-out.
The video, from the Brooklyn-based Ghost+Cow Films, utilizes aerial drone cameras to soar above a series of couples, gay, straight, lesbian, getting after it in some truly beautiful landscapes. It also comes with a veneer of political commentary, as one of the filmakers, Brandon LaGanke, told Mother Board.
“We wanted to explore the whole idea of drone privacy and strikes—this idea of ‘make porn, not war,'” he said. “It started as a kind of funny commentary on privacy and voyeurism, but it quickly became a conceptual grounding.”
All in all, not your typical porn at all. Although I do like the part on the beach where they still can’t keep the dog from wandering into the shot.
