While Calvin Klein was once best known for putting a waif thin 16-year-old Kate Moss in its ad campaigns, under the direction of Raf Simons, Calvin Klein has been quietly embracing diversity. Following this year’s beautiful campaign featuring the cast of Moonlight, the brand launches a dreamy short film directed by Sofia Coppola featuring 73-year-old Lauren Hutton. This proves that there’s no age cap to underwear modeling (so long as you look like Lauren Hutton).
Hutton is joined by a slew of ethereal actresses, handpicked by the director. Longtime Coppola muse Kristen Dunst is included (yasssss) as well as Rashida Jones, Natalie Love, Laura Harrier (you’ll see her in Spider-man: Homecoming. She’s stunning), Chase Sui Wonders (Anna Sui’s niece!) and Maya Thurman-Hawke (yes, those are her parents).
Not only are a range of ages and ethnicities represented, it’s nice to see some normal-ish bodies filling out those bras and panties. Another win for Raf.
