Vic Mensa Gets Kicked Off Second Plane in Three Months

Vic Mensa has serious beef with American Airlines. In a series of now deleted tweets, the rapper claimed he was kicked off his flight after an altercation arose between him and the ticket-taker. According to Mensa, who recounted the story on Snapchat, he and the American Airlines employee fought after Mensa confronted him for being rude to a female passenger. After boarding the plane Mensa said he was escorted off the flight by police and eventually fingerprinted and DNA-tested by the FBI.

He wrote: “When the fat man scanning tickets called for Platinum, I stepped into line and waited to go on the plane, as I should. Then a woman walked up. He was disrespecting this woman so crazy, pointing all in her face like, ‘No, ma’am, you need to follow instructions. You need to go around the back and follow instructions.’ I don’t let people talk to women like that around me, so I told him, ‘You need to watch your attitude speaking to her because we’re the ones been waiting.’ Then the man tried to tell me I couldn’t get on the plane and I had to step to the side. I’m like, well, I’ve been waiting forever. I’m not going, so I just scanned my own ticket and walked on.”

He continued, “The man’s ego was so hurt that they sent the police on the plane to come pull me off. They lucky they sent some black cops that was fans that was cool ’cause I wouldn’t have even stepped up.”

From there, Mensa said he argued with another employee after receiving varying instructions from the cops and the airline.

“And that’s when I turnt up, snatched the ticket out of her hand, stormed off, said, ‘Fuck this airline,’ grabbed the metal banister, threw it into the desk, and pimped off,” he recounted. “Then they bring the police outside to come get me. It’s the same cops that’s fans. They cool. I lowkey had a little breakdown. I was like, ‘Man, I had to go home. I got so much real shit that’s happen in my life.'”

Mensa alleges he was then taken into a room where he was interrogated and fingerprinted by the FBI, concluding, “The moral of the story here is I don’t give a fuck about your ego or your sense of entitlement. You’re not about to disrespect a woman in public in front of me. I know I don’t follow rules, man, but I also don’t tolerate that bullshit, people just being all types of bogus. Just because you have a uniform on or you have a position of power in a certain situation does not give you the right to disrespect people.”

He finished by encouraging his followers to contact American Airlines on his behalf. “Do me a favor, man,” he wrote, “tweet at American Airlines, and say ‘Fuck you’ for Vic Mensa ’cause y’all did him wrong. He flies with you all the time.” In one of the since-deleted tweets, Mensa said he usually flies seven people with the airline every week, but will no longer be giving them any business.

This is not the first time the rapper has been removed from a flight. Earlier this summer, Mensa said he was kicked off a United Airlines flight for using his phone to console a depressed fan, before the flight had even finished boarding.

Poor Vic—everyone knows you should always fly JetBlue, anyway.
