VFiles is known for celebrating innovation and supporting streetwear’s place in the fashion industry. Now, the New York brand is combining camouflage with technology, through their collaboration with Mountain Dew. The Camo Out collection features hoodies, jackets and bags that brings technology to streetwear by including body cameras, personal audio systems and Bluetooth.
Created specifically for DEW Nation’s “class of the future,” the collaboration continues VFiles’ collaborative mission and focuses on bringing technology to the fashion realm in a creative way.
“The collaboration with VFILES and Mountain Dew for ComplexCon embodies our belief in the power of co-creation,” said Carlos Saavedra, Senior Director and Creator of Culture Strategy & Innovation at Mountain Dew. “When you merge together a world-class brand with the expertise and nimble approach of creators such as VFILES, what results is a culture of creative risk-taking, rapid experimentation and an acceleration of fringe to the mainstream.”
The campaign, shot by photographer Christine Hahn, showcases the line and its bold prints, on models Derek Drummond and Emily McDonald. Available exclusively at the VFiles & Camo Collective pop-up shop during ComplexCon in Long Beach, and on the VFiles site starting Nov. 5, the Camo Out collection is a look at fashion’s potential moving forward.
