For whatever unfortunate reason, ugly Christmas sweaters are a thing. Luckily, this year, Comme Des Garçons has teamed up with Vetements to make the holidays fashionable—and gay af. The French streetwear brand and Comme des Garçons’ CDG Shirt line have collaborated on a limited edition collection of “gay, lesbian and fetish” sweaters for Dover Street Market.
Available now, at the New York, London and Ginza locations, the CDG Shirt x Vetements collab consists of three different knits that represent the LGBTQ and fetish communities, including a rainbow striped sweater, and one with an exaggerated CDG heart, as well as a purple design featuring a double-bladed battle-ax, which served as a feminist symbol for female strength throughout the ’70s. At $625 each, it’s a small price to pay to lose this year’s Ugly Sweater Contest.
