Dominick Fernow, founder of Hospital Productions and leader of noise band Purient, has been cranking out some of the best techno in the world as Vatican Shadow. He’s from New York, though, a place without much of an avant electronica scene. So most of his performances are in the Eurozone. Last month, he curated London’s legendary club Fabric. This is from an October Varvara Festival gig in Torino, Italy. It’s the perfect antidote to the 2014 Taylor Swift Takeover, from an actual New Yorker. And much better than shitty house and trance you hear at EDM festivals.
