We’ve heard of highway patrol chasing a runaway white Bronco, but a unicorn? Sounds about as likely as Donald Trump running for president.
But alas, these are the times we live in. This past Wednesday a unicorn by the name of Juliette (alright, she’s just a pony with a horn affixed to her head, but come on, she looks pretty damn convincing) became the animal embodiment of the word “nope” when she escaped from a photoshoot not once but twice.
Juliette was making some children’s dreams come true at a birthday party in Madera Ranchos, California, when she made a break for it. And though her first attempt at escape was quickly thwarted, the second time around she led her handlers and members of California Highway Patrol on a real wild unicorn chase.
“The search became so desperate that the local police had to use a helicopter and thermal imaging to locate the pony, which was hiding out in an orchard,” says CNN.
We applaud the sheer will and determination of brave Juliette. This weekend, when forced to attend a party we are simply not feeling, we plan to take a page from her book and make a run for it.
