By now you’ve either seen the debate and are still reeling from vertigo, and/or have read a dozen recaps, almost all of which, at least on the reality-based side of the equation, agree that last night was a disaster for Trump. He blithered, he blathered, he looked rattled and uncomfortable, had very little preparation in terms of facts or actual policies, lied over and over again, appeared physically ill at times, and constantly interrupted his opponent Hillary Clinton. The best that could be said about his night is that at least he didn’t emerge from behind the podium with a load of piss staining the front of his pants. As far as we know, anyway. Those suits are pretty dark.
One memorable moment, among many, was toward the end of the debate, when Clinton introduced us to former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.
“He loves beauty contests, supporting them and hanging around them,” Clinton said, in a low key burn that got lost among many of the others.
Machado, who won the contest in 1996 while representing Venezuela, gained some weight during her time wearing the crown, leading to Trump calling her “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping”, the rare fat-shaming and racist two-for-one.
Clinton released an ad telling her story.
Donald Trump called her “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping.”

You would think Trump would have backed away, but you’d be stupid as hell, because this morning — this morning! — after he’d had all night to sleep on it, he decided to double down on the weight comments on FOX News.
“She gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem,” Trump said, among other insults about her performance. Clinton, he said, “found the girl and talked about her like she was Mother Theresa.”
Anyway, none of this matters to anyone who is already supporting him and he’s still got a chance to win!
