Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump’s campaign manager, turned himself into police in Jupiter, Florida today, after he was charged with misdemeanor battery. The incident in question occurred during a campaign event earlier this month in which Michelle Fields, a reporter for Breitbart, alleged Lewandowski had grabbed her arm and yanked her violently.
Lewandowski denied the accusation, despite Fields posting a photo of bruises on her arm.
@MichelleFields you are totally delusional. I never touched you. As a matter of fact, I have never even met you.

Trump’s supporters naturally rallied around the belligerent Lewandowski at the time, with many calling her a liar, but strangely, so did Fields’ employer Breitbart. She and a number of other editors at the conservative website later resigned over the incident, and Fields was also let go from a contributing roll on a Fox News program.
Video surveillance footage appears to show Lewandowski in fact grabbing Fields.
