These days everyone who’s anyone has a collab, just ask Tiffany & Co. and the New York City Police Department. The unlikely duo has teamed up to produce a line of barricades. Wrapped in the brand’s signature blue, they’re as chic as they are functional, working to lead wealthy shoppers right to the jewelry brand’s Fifth Avenue flagship store to purchase all their shiny Christmas gifts.
The barricades are meant to be a solution to a very specific problem involving, you guessed it, Donald Trump. It seems as though the store’s proximity to Trump Tower has been a bit of an issue, due to enhanced security and the lingering crowds. The barricades provide a walkway from 57th Street straight to the store’s main entrance. The walkway is even flanked by security guards wearing Tiffany blue scarves.
According to WWD, other neighboring retailers, which include Gucci, Armani and Ralph Lauren, have been adversely affected as well, but are yet to take the same measures. We bet Gucci’s collab with the NYPD would be dope though.
