This Michigan Street Artist Brings the Sidewalks to Adorable Life

Street art in its traditional sense, has long been controversial. Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder, or lease-holder, as is most often the case when it comes to appreciating someone else’s drawing on your property. But it would be hard to imagine anyone finding fault with the work of David Zinn. The artist has been enlivening the streets and sidewalks of Ann Arbor with his delightful characters, and, best of all, as they’re done in chalk, they aren’t permanent. Wait, that’s kind of sad now that I put it that way. Either way, they live on on his Instagram, where you can see much of his work.

Purchase some of his prints or check out his book Temporary Preserves.
