Arguing about sexism on the Internet is a pretty easy way to attract the sniveling hordes who cry “Misandry!” and “It’s merit-based LOLLLL” every time you might point out the incredibly obvious fact that gender inequality is still a thing and not a hit-baiting invention of the Jezebel editorial team. A new Tumblr called “100 Percent Men” cuts through all of the words to present an argument no Internet commenter could challenge: A lot of institutions and organizations are still men only, whether it’s the American presidency or the Shell Oil executive committee. They’ve pointed this out by screenshotting these male-dominated cabals along with a short explanation of where they come from, and the “presented without comment” is what makes it so effective—because there’s really nothing you can say about the many, many dude faces floating down the screen with nary a lady to be seen.
“But maybe they’re just really good at their jobs and better than the women?” someone might ask. “Surely, this is okay because I bet some girl totally faked out one of those digital strategists like she was going to give him a handy but then was like, ‘Nah, I gotta go to sleep.’ Bogus.” To which you’d just gesture toward the pictures, which is the only counter-argument needed.
