Andre Agassi changed tennis forever by bringing style and energy to the sport. Luigi Lavazza revolutionized the coffee industry, and our mornings, by inventing the espresso. Now, the two innovators have teamed up to improve the lives of underprivileged youth.
After quitting tennis 10 years ago, Agassi will return to this year’s US Open, but as an ambassador for Lavazza. For every coffee sold, $1 will be donated to the USTA Foundation to benefit the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, which focuses on transforming the lives of children through public education reform. The funds will be used to improve the foundation’s college preparatory programs, as well as financial aid for university-bound students.
To announce their partnership, Lavazza and Agassi unveiled their “I’m Back” campaign, which will feature special appearances from the tennis star at the Grand Slams, including Wimbledon and tonight’s US Open. Fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy Lavazza coffee and a special “I’m Back” frappe at each of the events.
