Ever since the pretty excellent “Wildest Moments” dropped I’ve been regularly trawling the Internet for a leak of Jessie Ware’s debut album, only to come up short despite my exceptional nose for MP3s. But no matter: Jessie Ware’s debut Devotion has been uploaded to ol’ girl’s Soundcloud in its entirety, and premiered at the Guardian (has anyone ever asked exactly why NPR and the Guardian get so many prime album premieres? Like, leave some for the actual entertainment sites, would ya?). So if you’re someone who enjoys things that sound good/knowing what people will be talking about for the next couple months/music that enables you to pretend your life is a lot more melodramatic than it actually is, get on this and see whether or not Devotion confirms what we’ve been led to believe by all of the excellent singles that Ware has released thus far. Devotion drops for real on August 20.
