Invisible is the best word to describe Stella McCartney’s new lingerie line. And while the pieces have a frothy feel, they lack nothing in the visual department. With blue python-print and lace-coated emerald green intimates, Stella’s new line incorporates femininity and cutting edge technology. Set to hit stores and online this month, the line, called Stella, will feature bras that are 25 percent lighter than the average bustier and, with the the brand’s first wireless bra, the collection is one of the naked-est on the market.
The line will include five bra shapes: Moulded Underwire, Balconnet, Plunge, Strapless, and the new completely wireless Supernatural. The thin straps on each can be worn multiple ways and are embellished with the signature three gold rings bearing the Stella McCartney logo. The collection is divided into Lace, Smooth and Mesh categories, each adhering to the brand’s eco-friendly philosophy. The lingerie features recycled hardware and organic cotton gussets.
Prices range from $65 for bras and $28 for briefs. Select stores, such as Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, and Barney’s, will carry the line along with Stella McCartney’s own.
