Model and socialite brothers, Peter and Harry Brant, have teamed up with MAC Cosmetics to release a unisex makeup collection, out today on the MAC website. The collaboration consists of “modern-day grooming and sculpting products for men and women,” including all new eye pencils and shadows in browns and golds, lip stains in four different shades, concealers, brushes and brow products, as well as skincare products.
The Brant brothers, nicknamed “The New Princes of The City” by the New York Times, have been experimenting with different makeup products and techniques since their early teens. Their mom, model Stephanie Seymour, taught them tricks before introducing them to the Makeup Queen herself, Pat McGrath, who they call “Mama Makeup.”
As boys, Peter never felt strange about wearing makeup, though Harry did. Since then, he’s risen above his insecurities and became the real makeup lover of the two. The brothers worked diligently with MAC to create a line that had pieces subtle enough for someone just beginning their makeup journey, and others bold enough for the ones who want to stand out in a crowd.
MAC x Brant Brothers is the latest collection to highlight fashion’s pioneering perspective on gender and identity. Peter and Harry created the range by disregarding gender, simply deciding on products that make the wearer look and feel better. “These products accentuate the best features of someone’s face,” Harry told Pop Sugar. “Bring that to light and you can bring out the hottest parts of yourself—make yourself look and feel really good.”
