Snacky Tunes’ Mosh and Nosh: Summertime Drinking

As temperatures rise and minds drift to rooftops and boats, the best advice we can give you is this: “Summer, summer, summertime, time to sit back and unwind.” That means having a drink, so we recently sat across the bar from two of our favorite barkeeps, Alex Day and David Kaplan of Proprietors LLC and the recently opened Demi Monde, to see what makes for the perfect summertime tipple. “ A good drink should always come together much like a great piece of music,” claims Day. “Tones come together in harmony, being greater than the sum of their individual parts.”

Together, Day and Kaplan served up the Wolf Tone, an easy to make homerun homage to all things summer. “The components, while beautiful and unique on their own” Kaplan explains, “mix with one another to create something completely unique.” All we know is that while you can mix them up by the glass, we’ll be serving them up by the pitcher. See the recipe below, and the play list to go along with it.

The Recipe
Wolf Tone
1 oz Pisco Encanto
0.75 oz Clear Creek Pinot Grigio Grappa
0.75 oz St Germain Elderflower Liqueur
1 dash Orange Bitters
1 dash Eucalyptus Bitters
