There’s absolutely nothing natural about being a pop star, and Flirty Sprite singer K Rizz has garnered a reputation for dramatizing the elements of artificial Top 40 icons to the point of it being performance art. “There ain’t no other concept like mine,” she sings in her track, “Art Star,” which has become the theme for SlayRizz’s glam, cult-like reputation.
Her singles don’t skyrocket the Billboard 200 and she’s never performed in major arenas, but she works through her buzzy Soundcloud tracks in underground clubs, as if it were Britney Spears’ Vegas residency, and she presents herself online as if her career’s toe-to-toe with Ariana Grande. The performer brings “Fake it Till You Make it” to an entirely new level, and her latest foray is an extension of that tried-and-true ideology: Official Slayrizz Worldwide Merchandise.
Complete with a tongue-in-cheek infomercial, K Rizz’s first range of merchandise features three tees and a pair of cowgirl sticker posters. Two of the tees, in either black or white, are marked by the signature mantra, “Slay,” stamped beneath a cartoon rendition of the performer in a pink cowboy hat—the singer’s staple before Joanne monopolized the look. She’s also released a yellow “Yes Bitch” tee, named after her Cali-inspired track of the same name. Learn more, below, and finish your family holiday shopping in one stop, here.
