Listen, plagiarism isn’t cool. When a major brand, like Gucci, “Guccifies” an independent artist, its infuriating. When Zara rips off a small designer, it’s gross. But when Skechers knocks off YEEZY? I’m sorry, but it’s just plain hilarious.
Images of a pair of Skechers that look suspiciously like the YEEZY Boost 350 V2 “Beluga” have started making the rounds on the Internet, and twitter is reacting accordingly. Skechers is no stranger to plagiarism allegations (they’ve been accused of drawing a little too much inspo from Nike, Vans and Adidas) but these fake YEEZYs truly take the cake. The knit, the stripe and the shape are pure YEEZY… just super janky.

But wait, it gets worse. Skechers took it one step further and turned the YEEZY boost into dress shoes. These are some unholy demon shoes. I didn’t need to live long enough to see this.

Why Skechers, a super visible brand, would rip off YEEZY, a super visible brand, is beyond me. Whomst man would cop these is even further beyond me. Whatever is happening here, I am living for it.
