A show featuring CA pop-punk band The Story So Far can be a chaotic thing. Naturally, at shows like this, for many of the young fans the opportunity to mosh and stage dive is almost more important than seeing the band in the first place. That can often lead to tension on stage, when over-eager fans overstay their welcome, or get in the way of the band trying to, you know, do their job. But that does not seem to be the case here in this video of a show the band performed in Toronto at the Mod Club on Sunday night.
In the video, a young female fan makes her way on stage, and appears to be getting ready to take a selfie, when the band’s singer Parker Cannon runs up at her from behind, and launches into an aerial dropkick that sends her tumbling off the stage.
“You fucking crazy hooligans,” Cannon says, before launching into the band’s final song, “High Regard.”
As a huge fan of the band, one of the more exciting pop-punk bands to emerge in years, this is a particular bummer. As a fan of not assaulting your fans, never mind women, never mind from behind, it’s even worse.
