BULLETT teamed up with Noe Undergarments and (wh)Ore Haüs Studios for a party in La Saturday. The concept: females who embrace their sexuality. The reality: a magic world of cocktails, motorcycles and lingerie.

Bonnie Boyes designs Noe Undergarments, a SoCal Lingerie brand catering to the hip not flashy, while Meyghan Hill’s designs (wh)Ore Haüs Studios, elegantly welded bedroom furniture with an intimate twist. Both women’s work flirts with sex and power, offering a forward approach in embracing sexual femininity.

Held at (wh)Ore Haüs Studios working studio in DTLa, a refurbished theater from the 1940’s, the vibe was dark. Noe-clad models draped over the beds looking existentially bored. Some hung from ladders, some in cages of glass.

“The idea is to be more experiential, to integrate the models into the space,” said Boyes. “Some of the models wilt be working on a motorcycle, some at the bar, models engaging in their own world, integrated with the furniture in an interesting way.”

Rising pop star Jesse Jo Stark performed. It was sultry, veiled in blue smoke, on a second story balcony stage high in exposed rafters. Absolut Elyx (ubiquitous shout out to our liquor sponsor!) mixed complex cocktails in copper mugs. Though mixology is usually embarrassing, they kept it toned down enough.
