For those of you who’ve been waiting with bated breath for more work from the artist who’s done the most for weekends since Loverboy, you can finally like, unbate that breath, or however you fix that. The viral celebrity to end them all, Rebecca Black, is putting the final touches on her debut album. The “Friday” singer told Billboard that she’s “just finishing up an album right now” while she “bounced up and done with excitement” (because she’s 15). No details on the album just yet, but we can probably expect Black to finally reveal whether she’s going to sit in the front or the backseat, and hopefully she’ll cover some other days of the week (I personally never know how to feel about Thursdays, and it seems that Rebecca Black’s absolutely the person to tell me). Probably the best/most reality-warping thing Black could do at this point would be to release a 60+ minute math rock concept album, but considering that she told Billboard her favorite artists right now are Rihanna, the Black Keys, and Ed Sheeran, that seems unlikely. Black also told the outlet that she’ll be the only artist featured on the record, leaving us all to wonder what happened to that great American folk hero, Nameless Rapper.
