Adolescent girls are going to be incredibly dehydrated today, as it marks the first day of One Direction’s 18-month hiatus. The fellas that launched a zillion tweets played their last show (for now) on X Factor UK, the show on which they famously got their start five years ago.
However, the band will live on in its absurdly loyal fan base. And while 18 months may seem like a short span of time for you or me, to a 13-year-old girl who lives and breathes One Direction, 18 months is an eternity. To mark this tragedy, fans came together under the hashtag #ThisisNotTheEndOfOneDirection. Sounds optimistic, right? Wrong.
