Rapper LEAF’s NYFW iPhone Diary: VFiles, Chromat and Gypsy Sport

Getting my makeup done before the VFiles Show.
Three people doing my hair at the same time, oh my God.
Me and Teresa before Namilia.
Walking the runway.
Before the Betsey Johnson Show.
My favorite looks from the Betsey Johnson Show. Very Rockabilly.
Shattering runway model stereotypes at Chromat.
Outside the Chromat show with my Jacquie Aiche purse.
Happy to see Shantell Martin's artwork at Skylight Clarkson Square. It's beautiful to see young black female artists getting attention.
Backstage with Cardi B after she walked for Gypsy Sport.
Maluca Mala looking fierce in the Gypsy Sport show.
So happy to see Santigold perform at the DKNY party. Great way to end NYFW.

Praised for her vicious raps and angelic vocals, 19-year-old Brooklyn-raised rapper LEAF was picked up by Fool’s Gold Records after label head A-Trak learned of her through Chromeo member Dave 1. Since then, she’s released her debut EP Magnetic Bitchunleashing her seductive vision and tantalizing allure through tracks like “Slick” (see below) and “Drama.” Being one of the freshest faces on the scene, we asked LEAF to document her NYFW experience, from walking the VFiles runway to sitting front row at Gypsy Sport.
