Premiere: Sex, Drugs, Hip Hop and Aliens in Shape’s ‘Moonrock’

A while back we premiered the debauched young partying hipster girls in love  video for GDP’s “Friends That Fuck.” GDP’s man Shape returns to that sex, drugs, and hip hop trio for his own video “Moonrock”, albeit with a twist. It’s a mix between Coneheads and Spring Breakers.

The video, which follows a party-goer who doesn’t quite fit in, until, of course, he leans on that time-tested trick of outcasts everywhere and shares his drugs with the cool kids, was directed by GDP and filmed and edited by Max Hliva (Future, Mike Will, Brick Squad).  The track will appear on Shape’s Rare and Exotic Birds out next year on GDP’s newly launched Brooklyn based label, Smokers Cough.

“The song name refers to a most potent form of MDMA and the song is a yin and yang of party antics and light-hearted introspection,” GDP says of the track.

“The video is a humorous demonstration of what a drug or two can do to a room of strangers. We’re not saying get out there and get fucked up, but we’re not saying not to either..”
