From Turkey’s Blue Soho progressive label comes a new project, Drug Boulevard. An artist collective focused on creativity and obsession, the label will drop their first release, DRUG BLVD, later this month. A heavy dream-pop compilation featuring original work by eight different artists, the debut LP brings together some of the world’s most exciting acts in a release as addicting as the title suggests.
One of the standout tracks comes from multi-instrumentalist, Guy Brown’s Sydney indie-electro outfit, Mammals. A cover of Télépopmusik’s house favorite, “Breathe,” Brown’s version takes all the catchiness of the original and turns it into a down-tempo trance banger. With Brown’s sultry vocals and spellbinding synths, “Just Breathe” is a playful rendition of the early-aughts club classic.
“Télépopmusik’s ‘Breathe’ is such a beautiful track with a message that is so true,” says Brown, of his decision to cover the iconic single. “Wherever you may be, how ever you might feel, ‘Just breathe’ and its going to be alright.”
