Everyone knows what it’s like to feel young, dumb and in love—but L.A. singer/songwriter, Robert Francis, has basically written the book on it. Over six studio albums, the 30-year-old multi-instrumentalist has chronicled the pain and pleasure of learning to grow up, providing the perfect soundtrack for teenage heartbreak. With his latest record, Indian Summer, out November 3, Francis gets more political, but still gives us the dreamy Americana we can’t get enough of. One of our favorite tracks, “The Magic,” shows Robert moving past the wide-eyed innocence of his youth, as he navigates the tricky balance of being in a relationship and being on the road. The music video, directed by Ray & Remora’s Amanda Walker, is just as contagious—basically the visual equivalent of falling in love. And who wouldn’t want to watch that?
