Detroit electro-pop outfit Valley Hush is back with “Iced Cream,” a dreamy anthem, hastened by lead singer Lianna Vanicelli’s lofty vocals, about “getting through this age where every decision feels heavy and you really begin to understand how societal pressures can get the best of people.” The song “attempts to embrace the chaos of feeling pulled in entirely different directions,” the duo said.
Valley Hush is producer/musician Alex Kaye and Vanicelli, who’ve been making music together since 2014. With two EP’s under their belts—2014’s To Feel Small and 2015’s Don’t Wait—they are currently working on a debut full-length album. “Iced Cream” is the second single of the forthcoming LP, as well the band’s invitation to feel a little less alone.
“Hopefully, the song will serve as a reminder that it’s normal to feel inhuman and crazy as a part of this society,” they said. “Solace exists all around us in nature if we need it.”
