Everyone hates their body. Except for the people who don’t, and they can go screw themselves. Most of us hate our bodies might be more accurate to say. Even those of us with nothing much to worry about, from a conventional health and attractiveness point of view. That’s one takeaway from this series from photographer Stephanie Diani called Tribe of Impossible Perfection. She invited women into her studio and asked “If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?” and then had plastic surgeon drew pre-surgical lines on their bodies based on what they answered.
The results bring out our personal insecurities in stark contrast, literally serving as a map to the places on ourselves that we fear the most.
