Music festival season is well under way, and we’ve joined forces to bring you the not-to-be-missed Full Moon Fest this summer. On August 20 and 21, SBTRKT, Santigold, Pusha T, Allah-Las, Zoe Kravtiz’s Lolawolf, and a bunch more, will be performing beach-side at Governor’s Island.
A two day experience that “conveys a worldly cultural sensibility with a New York swagger,” Full Moon Fest is a “boutique approach” to city music festivals. Now in its sixth year, Full Moon features live performances, art installations and amazing food. Last year’s event at the Brooklyn Mirage was a diverse experience, including performances by Yelle, Tensnake and MOTHXR, and food from local eateries including Tacombi, Uma Temakeria and Carnal.
Inspired by monthly island ragers in Thailand, Full Moon Fest combines music, dancing and the full moon to create a dynamic, kinetic experience. This year’s festival, presented by MATTE Projects, will be seriously one-of-a-kind. Buy your tickets here and we’ll see you there!
