Pamela Anderson’s Made a ’90s-Inspired Vegan Accessories Line, Says ‘Vegans Can Be Sexy’

Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson made the cherry red one-piece a ’90s staple and accidentally asserted trash-chic as the coveted Hollywood look in the early 2000’s; now, the ice-blonde trendsetter is recalling her roots with a collection of vegan accessories, inspired by her love of Malibu (Duh) and Saint-Tropez (Ooh).

According to WWD, Anderson’s teamed up with French accessories designer Amélie Pichard—a collaboration that resulted from the actress discovering Pichard on Instagram, where she frequently posts images from Anderson’s early career as a sandy, sun-soaked pin-up. The vegan element of this forthcoming collection, slated for release at Opening Ceremony LA on Dec. 10, stems from Anderson’s lifestyle as a 20-year-long vegan devotee (Ooh).

“I went to London, where they are very involved in vegan and sustainable fashion,” Pichard said to WWD. “It was about finding materials in plastic that are cool, not bad for feet or for the planet. The most important thing was about the lining, it was the most complicated thing to find—our lining is breathable and antibacterial.” See a sampling of Anderson’s vegan shoes, below.
