Production maestros The Knocks just got off tour with Justin Bieber for a few dates in Canada, filling monstrous venues with the sounds of their debut album 55—a milestone for the rising duo, who previously completed a sold-out, smaller scale “Route 55” tour to promote their full-length breakout. We asked Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner and James “JPatt” Patterson to document their unforgettable experience on-the-road with Biebs:

“The second the lights went out, thousands of fans started to scream while we made our way to the stage—a feeling we will never forget,” The Knocks said. “Playing in such a packed arena was surreal and the stage was bigger than any we had ever performed on, but once we got on stage and started going, the nerves were gone.  If anything, playing in that environment is easier because you are fairly distant from most of the fans.  When we play small, packed clubs, you see everyone’s faces and their reactions—something that’s much more difficult than looking into a sea of 30,000 people.”

Ahead of the duo’s Governors Ball slot on Saturday, June 4, we’re exclusively sharing 55.5 VIP’s remix of “Love Me Like That,” featuring Carly Rae Jepsen. The track will be included on The Knocks’ forthcoming five-track 55.5 EP, out July 8 via Big Beat Records. Listen to the BULLETT premiere, below:
