Oh Weird! Courtney Love Covers ’99 Problems’ and it’s Awesome (?)

I’m going to pay this video (shot vertically, of-fucking-course) of Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” the highest internet praise I can muster: I watched it twice. Meaning, in other words, I saw a link to the video of Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”, pressed the little play button on the YouTube video, sat there for 3:04 using my ears and eyes (and heart) to witness Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”, spent a moment or two reflecting on what it all means (nothing much), and said to myself, I’ll watch Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” at least one more time. Who knows, there could be subsequent viewings to come, I’m only half way through the second viewing of Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” as I write these words. Oh no!¬† It’s almost over, I’m going to face a critical junction coming up here again soon, vis a vis/via watching Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” a third time.

Ok, I did it, reader. It just started again. The video I was just talking about. She’s coughing and rasping and talking about something being “so genius it either sucks or it’s genius” and I think we know what that means here, right? That’s the tag line I’ll take from the video to provide context and also sort of “sum up” the whole experience of Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” in a cleverish shorthand.

Also, she says “nigger.” There’s probably 1000 words in that in case anyone from Jezebel/xoJane/Thought Catalog is reading this.

How many times did you watch Courtney Love covering Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” imaginary outrage-blogger? Share your thoughts in the comment space in your brain where no one will ever know about them either way.

“I got 99 problems but being a bitch aint one,” she riffs at the end.

I just watched it a fourth time.
