Graffiti is one of the original elements of hip-hop, this much we know. What a lot of people don’t know, however, is that one of the basic elements of graffiti is doing it while your team of security handlers stands guard for the policía. El Bieberino showed off his skills with a can in Colombia while on a tour stop, and then, like most taggers, uploaded shots of himself in the act to Instagram, because they aren’t allowed to get in trouble with police or the lawyers will get involved. ‘Free Breezy’, as you can probably surmise, is a reference to troubled singer Chris Brown, who recently entered rehab to deal with anger issues presumably of his own volition, so it’s not clear what message the young pop star was trying to send here. Is Bieber pro-anger issues? Is he striking out against therapeutic medicine? Does Bieber think that scribbling down his wishes in paint and then closing his eyes and waiting for someone else to make it a reality is how things happen in the world? And are we all a little bit stupider after having read this blog post than we were going into it? No one can really say for sure, but the answer is definitely yes to everything.
