Charli XCX dropped her latest single “You’re the One” at the beginning of last month, including a remix by Odd Future’s left-field hip-hop production duo The Internet on the B-side, and apparently Charli XCX liked it so much that she went ahead and shot a video for it. Syd Tha Kid and Matt Martian’s take on the track is predictably funkier and a little weirder than the original version, so naturally the video’s that way as well. Directed by Ryan Andrews and Claire Boyd, the clip uses images of what appears to be the original video for “You’re the One” cut up with visuals of Charli XCX acting weird, dancing, and assaulted by every possible visual in After Effects. There’s also a quick verse from OF’s Mike G that’s actually the weakest part of the song, but that’s always a risk you take when you remix something that was pretty good to begin with. Listen below.
