Sandy Kim’s lens shies away from nothing. She’s made a name for herself with her photos’ frankness and downright brazenness. Featured in magazines like Dazed & Confused and Vice, Kim’s photos document a gritty life that you secretly wish you had. Even Ryan McGinley loves her, and it doesn’t hurt that she knows how to work magic with natural light. The San Francisco native is always camera-ready, and her lens never fails to capture moments (raunchy and not) as they come, which is why she’s BULLETT’s exclusive behind-the-scenes it-girl for New York’s Fashion Week 2011.
For United Bamboo, Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham’s collection was a cool-y well constructed collection of wearable sheer and navy linens. As always, United Bamboo looks were minimalist and tailored. Sandy got behind the seams with candid moments of the models chatting on their cellphones and close-ups of the tightly wound braids that were sported down the runway.
